Monique Force-Setlock

Monique Force-Setlock, Director of Stonewall National Women’s Fund and Director of Development, brings twenty years of unparalleled experience in the nonprofit sector to the Stonewall National Museum and Archives. Her career is marked by significant achievements and leadership roles in various esteemed organizations.

Prior to joining Stonewall, Monique served as the Development Director for Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA) in Palm Beach County. In this capacity, she was not only responsible for overseeing all fundraising and development activities but also took the helm of AVDA’s special events. Under her direction, the renowned Heart of a Woman Luncheon featured prominent speakers such as Olympia Dukakis, Taylor Armstrong, and Elizabeth Smart, attracting widespread acclaim and support. Monique’s innovative approach led to the creation of AVDA’s annual Voices of Courage event, a pivotal community discussion addressing critical issues like human trafficking and teen dating violence, further underscoring her commitment to impactful advocacy and education.

Monique’s extensive background also includes pivotal roles with the Florida Grand Opera and the Centre for the Arts (CFA). At CFA, she directed the prestigious Festival of the Arts Boca, an event lauded by critics as “an important and impressive addition to the artistic landscape.” Under her leadership, the festival garnered numerous awards and became a celebrated showcase of the finest in classical music, jazz, dance, film, and literature, thereby enriching the cultural fabric of the community.

Monique’s experience in development and her passion for Stonewall’s mission have aided in organizational growth and community engagement. Her ability to lead high-profile events and initiatives demonstrates her skills in fundraising, program development, and stakeholder relations.
