Monique Force-Setlock

Monique Force-Setlock (she/her/hers), Director of Development, brings over 20 years nonprofit experience to Stonewall National Museum, Archives & Library. Monique’s past positions include Development Director for Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA), a domestic violence agency serving Palm Beach County. In addition to fundraising and development responsibilities, Monique directed AVDA’s special events including the noted Heart of a Woman Luncheon with past speakers including Olympia Dukakis, Taylor Armstrong and Elizabeth Smart. She also created AVDA’s annual Voices of Courage event, a community discussion covering important topics such as human trafficking and teen dating violence. Monique’s nonprofit experience also includes Florida Grand Opera and the Centre for the Arts (CFA). At CFA Monique directed the Festival of the Arts Boca, considered by critics to be “an important and impressive addition to the artistic landscape.” The Festival has won numerous awards and features the finest in classical music, jazz, dance, film and authors.

Monique lives in Delray Beach with her husband Marcel. Following in Monique’s nonprofit footsteps, their daughter Robin Pereira works for the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) in Washington, DC as a Specialist in their Positively Safe Program. Their stay-at-home dogs Sofie and Rocky are professional nappers.
