Stonewall National Education Program Symposium 2024

April 11th – 14th

It’s time to start planning your trip to the 11th annual Stonewall National Education

Project (SNEP) Symposium!

The 2024 SNEP Symposium will be held at Stonewall National Museum & Archives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 11th–14th, 2024. The event will be in-person, with some programming available virtually.

SNEP 2024, will focus on LGBTQIA+ developing concepts of what an inclusive curriculum might look like in the most welcoming, and least friendly educational environments. We will continue to review best practices and highlight the Stonewall collections in our archives and library. The symposium serves as a gathering place for invested LGBTQIA+ educators, like you. All representatives from school districts from across the United States are invited to attend. We will seek out experts from our community to enhance this experience. Experts include those representing advocacy organizations, NGOs, LGBTQIA+ community centers, academic researchers, legal consultants in education, and policy experts.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be in a transformative learning community with other LGBTQIA+ educators and advocates like you.

Join the 2024 SNEP Symposium to attend:
•   An LGBTQIA+ Inclusive Curriculum Panel featuring K-12 educators
•   How to curate culturally specific approaches for our historically excluded communities
•   Networking opportunities and the chance to co-plan with educators from across the country.
• Workshops on how to respond to anti-LGBTQIA+ policies and procedures, gender inclusive language practices, accessibility building – and more!
