Kendall Millang
Digital Asset Manager, Stonewall National Museum, Archives & Library

Kendall Millang began her journey with the Stonewall National Museum & Archives and Library as an intern in the fall of 2022 and officially joined the staff in 2023. She earned her B.A. in History with a minor in Anthropology from Florida Gulf Coast University, and went on to complete an M.A. in History with a specialization in Public History, along with a Graduate Certificate in Asian Studies, from Florida International University.

As an intern, Kendall made significant contributions to SNMAL’s Digital Collections, particularly through her work on the digitization and metadata enhancement of the lesbian-feminist archives. She also supported the oral history program by editing interviews and helping shape the narratives that preserve LGBTQ+ experiences.

Now as a staff member, Kendall continues to deepen SNMAL’s archival and public history work. She leads efforts to refine metadata and improve digital accessibility across collections, ensuring that materials are discoverable and inclusive. Her editorial work with oral histories has expanded to include coordinating new interviews and curating content that reflects the diversity of LGBTQ+ lives. Kendall also plays an active role in reference services and helping researchers and visitors engage meaningfully with SNMAL’s resources. Her thoughtful, research-driven approach and commitment to intersectional histories make her an invaluable part of the team.
